The issuance of a multiple entry visa is at the SOLE DISCRETION of the Embassy. Even if you have requested a multiple entry visa on your application this is by NO means guaranteed.
- Those who have applied in person & been rejected, cannot then apply through an agency.
- Applicants whose UK residency is "loose leaf" & not stamped in their passport, will be rejected.
- Visas are normally dealt with within 48 hours except for the nationals of countries marked below:
- Afghanistan, ALGERIA, Bangladesh, Belarussia, Burundi, Congo (DCR), Egypt, Guinea (Equatorial), Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Libya, MALI, Mauritania, MOROCCO, NIGER, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Surinam, Syria, Yemen + Palestinian Authority, Refugees, Stateless, Tunisia and Vietnam.
- The processing time for the nationals listed will take a minimum of 15 working days

UK Residency Explained:
Applicants on a Class "C" visa must apply direct to the consulate regardless of the validity issued.
Applicant's UK RESIDENCY visa must be valid for at least 6 months and 1 day in total and must be valid 3 months beyond the expiry date of the visa applied for.
If you are a dependent then you will need to provide your spouse/partners passport and original marriage certificate if applicable.
If a minor is travelling (under 18) then the original birth certificate must be provided.

Photos Explained:
2x colour passport photos (3,5 x 4,5cm) taken against a white background with good contrast/clear/good quality, printed on normal photographic paper (not scanned), and full face without glasses or head covering.
Nexus Visas now have facilities to take passport photos at their offices for an additional fee.
- Original letter of employment or university letter
(Self-Employed) (Student)
Employment Requirements Explained:
The Letter of Employment must include the following:
- Applicants position
- Signatories position (Signature must be original. A scanned signature will not be acceptable)
- Date of leave and Date of Return
- Applicants start date with the company
- Companies registration or VAT number
The letter must be dated less than 1 month of application.
If Self-Employed:
- A letter from your accountant/bank manager/solicitor confirming this.
If you are self employed and cannot provide a letter from any of the above then we will be unable to assist with your application.
If you are Student:
- Official up-to-date letter (less than 1 month) from your school, college or university stating the type of studies, details of course and attendance record.
- Last 3 payslips (or invoices if Self-Employed)
- Original bank statement

Bank Statement Explained:
Original bank statement must be less than 1 month old and show a minimum credit balance of £40 per day of stay and include the applicant’s home address. If the bank statement is more than 1 month old then an internet printout must be included.
If a bank statement cannot be provided then travellers cheques showing £40 or €50 per day spent will also be acceptable.

Travel Tickets Explained:
Original tickets must show the applicant is entering Belgium as their main destination.
Original booking confirmation acceptable in place of tickets if proof of full payment is submitted.
Applicants name MUST be included on the confirmation.
- Original hotel confirmation

Accommodation Explained:
Fax copies acceptable
Dates must match the travel booking exactly
If staying with friends/family, a letter of invitation must be obtained from the party in Belgium. A copy of the invitee’s passport and/or Belgian visa must be included as well as a utility bill to prove ownership of the home.
• Emails will not be acceptable from the concierge/receptionist at the hotel. It must be an official confirmation on hotel letterhead.
- Original Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance Explained:
Travel insurance must cover the duration of the visa requested and cover all hospital/medical/repatriation costs.
The longer your insurance is valid for the longer your visa MAY be issued for i.e. if your insurance is valid for the duration of your trip then the visa will only be valid for the duration of your trip.

- Member of Schengen Visa Agreement, however we strongly recommend that travellers make enquiries prior to travel with the appropriate Embassies of the countries within the agreement which they plan to visit
